Stephanie attended the same high school as Angie Harmon. Stephanie was a sophomore while Angie was a senior.

Stephanie got engaged to Bobby Flay who is a renowned chef. Bobby proposed to Stephanie while they were skating at the Rockefeller Center on December 19, 2003. The pair married on February 20, 2005.
